March is shaping up to be an incredible month for small
business outreach for the NASA Office of Small Business Programs (OSBP). Next week, our headquarters staff,
along with small business specialists
from each of the NASA Centers will be heading to Los Angeles to attend two
great events where we will be providing invaluable face to face counseling for
our small business partners.
On March 3, 2014, we will be attending the High-Tech
Small Business Industry Day at the Carson Center in Carson, California. I
was fortunate to be asked to a be a keynote speaker at the event and look
forward to delivering insights into the NASA Small Business Program. Our
fantastic small business specialists will be at the event as well, providing
short face to face discussions at our exhibit booth.
The following day, March 4, 2014, my team and I will be at
the NASA
Armstrong Flight Research Center (formally Dryden Flight Research Center) and
Air Force Space & Missile Systems Center Women-Owned Small Business
Industry Day. We will be participating in multiple presentations, an
exhibit booth, as well as one on one matchmaking with small businesses.
This a particularly exciting event because it will take
place at the kick off of National Women’s History Month. In celebration of that
fact, we will be releasing a publication celebrating some of the amazing
Women-Owned Small Businesses that have provided invaluable work in helping NASA
achieve it’s mission.
If you attend either of these events, I look forward to
seeing you at NASA Office of Small Business Programs booth!
